We wanted to learn more about this artistic New Yorker from Durham, NC:
Future is___ gonna shoot ya if Young Metro don't trust ya.
If your life were a movie, which genre would it fall into, and who would you cast as the lead role?
If my life were a movie, it'd currently be a dark & gritty supernatural thriller starring Willem Dafoe. But, fingers crossed, it might turn into an absurdist whimsical comedy with Donald Glover in a few months.
Introvert or extrovert?
Definitely an introvert when I’m outside the art/filmmaking scene. While shy most of the time, unleash art, film, or GOOD music in a room, and I transform into an extrovert. Art, Film, Music - that's my vibe.
Naked or thought bubbles?
Thought bubbles above my head, for sure. I've been living that way since embracing not caring about others' opinions. Hoodies & thought bubbles are my style!
Did your parents ever give you the “birds and the bees” talk?
Mom dropped that knowledge at 7, at Shrimp Boat on University Blvd. in Durham. Straight shooter, honest talk, and then some chicken & turnip greens.
If you lost one day of life for every swear word you uttered, would you make an effort to avoid cussing?
Grew up in a religious household, so I'm a pro at substituting swear words. Funk yeah, I'd avoid it!
If Henry Kissinger approached you to film his biopic, how would you respond?
I'll pass, or maybe film a loop of his war crimes.
Do you find yourself dancing when you’re alone?
Absolutely! Middle of the night, in a movie world, dancing, saying lines—caught by my wife occasionally for a good laugh.
Can you successfully fold a fitted sheet?
Never have, never will. They end up as a bunched ball in the linen closet.
If Henry Kissinger sought romantic advice from you, what guidance would you offer?
No. Just no.
