Chief international correspondent for CNN, Clarissa Ward, reports from war zones worldwide. This stunning journalist found time between dodging bullets to answer some fun questions with us:

If you had the chance to write a headline about your own life, what would it be?

Working Mother of Three Collapses of Exhaustion

If you were a journalist in a different era, past or future, from when and where would you want to report?
Spanish Civil War - with Hemingway and Gelhorn

How do you politely end a conversation with a person who is so annoying?
Thank you so much, thank you, so nice to meet you (slowly backing out of the room)

What has been your greatest kitchen mistake?
All my forays in the kitchen have been formidable failures. My husband recalls a beef stew that he was forced to hide in napkins and dispose of furtively at the beginning of our relationship.

You’ve worked in Russia. Is there any secret intel you can share with Ukrainians?

Ukrainians know and understand Russians better than I could ever claim to. But can we all agree that it’s still ok to listen to Zemfira?

If Henry Kissinger came back from the dead and asked you to dance, what would you say?

Depends on how many drinks I’ve had.
